Pneumovax 23 (PPSV23) helps protect adults against 23 types of pneumococcal bacteria – a major cause of pneumonia, meningitis and blood infections, especially in older adults and people with weaker immunity.

A single dose lowers the risk of pneumococcal pneumonia and invasive pneumococcal disease.
